Dietitian
Prue is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. She has Master of Health Science and Master of Dietetics degrees from Deakin University, and a Bachelor of Science from The University of Melbourne. Other training includes a carbohydrate counting workshop for individuals on insulin pumps, ASCIA allergy training for infants and CEED eating disorder training.
Prue has been working as a Dietitian since 2012 and has a strong interest in helping people to achieve a positive and healthy relationship with food. She believes that all foods have a place in the diet and loves assisting people to achieve their goals by providing education and implementing strategies to help overcome any barriers that may be present. Prue’s areas of interests include weight management (weight loss and weight gain), navigating food intolerances and allergies, eating disorders, children’s nutrition, especially infants, diabetes management and sports nutrition.
Prue is passionate about health and nutrition. She has a lifelong passion for food and believes in using food as medicine to improve overall health and well-being. She loves spending time in the kitchen developing recipes and cooking nutritious, wholesome food for her family and friends. Prue has her own recipe blog www.whatspruecooking.com.au which includes a range of healthy, balanced and nutritious recipes for the whole family. She is also releasing a cookbook in early 2021. Prue was previously a qualified running coach and has coached runners from beginners through to marathon runners, as well as completing three marathons herself.
